Hello All - new to this form but not image processing :). Question - is there a good printer profile editor compatible with OSX. Reason asking is that while, overall, printer profiles generated via i1 with i2pro photometer are OK regardless of paper brand/surface, they all suffer from the same overall problems. Slight shift in gray scale color balance from mid tones to shadows of about, in analog terms, .02-04 cc in the magenta direction between steps beginning around 11 to 21. X-rite use to provide an editor with previous versions of their software, but discontinued with later versions. In addition to the gray non linearity overall contrast and shadow detail along with saturation will vary (noticeable) with profiles generated for different brands of paper as well as surfaces. Regardless of patch numbers generated (800, 1600, 2400 -etc) problem is still there. Using their ‘amateur’ system gives the same basic results. Have been in touch with X-rite - and they agree they need an editor (at least some do),
System - OSX 10.13.6 - Mac Pro
Printer - Epson Pro 3880
Thanks,
