anybody knows what’s going on here? It does not show up in the lighter pictures.

  1. Write a bugreport.
  2. Try to disable the multithreding

@kazah7 and everyone else,

I save a log of what’s happening when you launch GIMP or McGimp. Please send me the logfile when you encounter issues:

For Windows:
You’ll find the logfile in your $TEMP folder. The logfile is named runGIMP-2.10-std-(long series of numbers).log and your $TEMP folder is usually C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Temp.

Thanks,
Partha

Ok, I’ve just sent you an email :slight_smile:

So, the problem occurs only in @partha’s build; official version doesn’t have it. Hopefully, you will find a way to fix it :slight_smile:

@kazah7, well we had a long discussion on the developer’s list and bottom line is that there are some bugs and also some issues with zoom factors below 50%.

What you are seeing are artifacts of the flattened screen rendition of the brushes. They are not affecting your image. If you increase your viewing zoom to greater than or equal to 50.5% they will go away. In the meantime, we’ll look for a solution to this once and for all.

Thanks for your understanding. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Partha
