Problem with image quality in GIMP 3.0.4.

I open a photo in GIMP 3.0.4 that I converted in Rawtherapee, in 32-bit floating point mode. After converting in GIMP to 8-bit mode, the image appears heavily pasteurization. When processing in GIMP 2.10, this problem does not occur.

Can you post some screenshots? I’m having a difficult time visualizing what’s happening.

Now I see that this is only in linear color space (Linear Rec. 2020).

i think you mean posterised? unless you took a picture of milk :))
