Hi, I have just started using this software and wonder if somebody can help
I am getting this error message on several files within a folder.
There is no data with which to generate the subfolder and filename for [IMG_1009.JPG](file:///37). The photo was not downloaded.
All the the files are uniquely named and contain metadata. all the videos have downloaded fine and most of the images, however some have refused to download, giving the above mentioned error. Does anybody have any ideas how to fix this please ?
From a terminal change to the directory where the problematic file is and run this (or its equivalent on a different photo):
exiv2 IMG_1009.JPG
Does this give command output the metadata being used to generate file and subfolder names? If not, there’s the problem. The metadata is missing or cannot for some reason be read.
Thank you for your speedy reply and help Damon. For some reason some of the files did not have a created date or time, once I inserted them, rapid photo downloader has now successfully downloaded all files in the folder.
