Problems with Resynthesizer plugin

Hi,
I am trying to use the Resynthesizer plugin. After finally getting it installed (with thanks to IRC #gimp-users user Sevenix, who pointed out that you need to put the plugin files under C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins, and not some other paths I found in guides online), I am trying to use the Heal selection filter. But, I get the error shown:

gimp resynthesizer error
gimp resynthesizer error1194×830 255 KB

“The texture source is empty”.

I was using Gimp 2.10.24, but I already tried updating to 2.10.30, and the problem persists.
As can be seen, I do have a selection.

Can you show the layers pallette?

And, just to mention, the Render > Texture also provided by this plugin does work, so I don’t think it’s a faulty install.

This came up on gimp-forum.net recently and there with a single layer, the issue is using the selection tool with feathering enabled.

Try again, with a selection with no feathering.
