Problems with Tamron

ART does not recognize the Tamron lens but Rawtherapee does, I attach screenshots.
The other Canon originals have no problems.

You can try to create a configuration file and force add:


127=Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC

If you use Windows, create a text file and name it exiv2.ini in your user folder. Then take a look at 5:52.

I think I understand the problem but I’m not sure of the solution, I will investigate further.

I forgot to mention that I’m with Kubuntu.

Try putting the line suggested by @Peter in the exiv2 config file (~/.exiv2).

That lens is in the set of lenses that lensfun’s fuzzy-matcher may have trouble with. At the bottom of that bug-report, you’ll see that RawTherapee has attempted their own fix for the problem.

It isn’t certain that the issue in this thread is caused by that bug, but it might be.
