I couldn’t find any specific documentation on processing equirectangular RAW files in Darktable, so I put together a full workflow from scratch.
The pipeline covers: equirectangular export via Insta360 Studio (running under Bottles), standard RAW corrections in Darktable (exposure, highlights, lens correction), nadir cleanup with the retouch module, GPX geotagging, and final visualization with Marzipano.
Darktable handles equirectangular images well — no special treatment needed beyond being mindful of the module order. The retouch module works cleanly for removing the selfie stick and operator from the nadir area.
