Processing profiles in RawTherapee 5.11--what do you use?

I’m setting up one or two processing profiles in RawTherapee 5.11. Previously, with my old, recently-replaced PC (and RT 5.10), I set up as recommended in Andy Astbury’s videos (“Do this first!”). I am going to start there again for 5.11. I actually used two that were identical except for Output Profile: I had one for ProPhoto RGB for exporting and printing, and one set to sRGB for display on the web and my monitor wallpaper.

Some of these presets are no-brainers, such as global chrominance noise reduction, defringe, etc. In any case, here is what I am going with for now:

1.) Neutral Profile
2.) Output profile: ProPhoto or sRGB as indicated above
3.) Dual de-mosaicing: RCD-VNG4
4.) Capture sharpening (leave at default settings)
5.) Chromatic aberration correction (uncheck “Avoid Color Shift”)
6.) Defringe
7.) Global chrominance noise reduction.

Is there anything else you think is worth adding? Have any of these recommendations changed for RT 5.11?

I am also curious to know, how many processing profiles do you use? What is in them? What do you use them for?

Thanks for any thoughts.

In my case, I like to go a few steps further.

I have loads of processing profiles. I use them for switching output media/size/profile. Individual disabled settings that i apply dynamically to have modules set to defaults that mean I only activate them.

Niche bw, and film looks. Various settings for colour and contrast etc.

My starting custom editing profile is this:

  1. Custom Input Color Profile
  2. Capture Sharpening
  3. Profiled Lens Correction–from file metadata
  4. WB as shot
  5. Auto Matched Tone Curve

I edit from there.
