Processing Sensor GBRG 12-bits in 16-bits

Hi,

RawTherapee is really well done!

Looking to process Bayer files but I don’t know how to format them to get RawTherapee to see them in the file browser.

The are straight from the sensor bayer 12-bit data packed into 16-bit values. There is no header information. How do I get RawTherapee to see these?

Thanks in advance!

What is the file extension? You should be able to activate the file extension in settings → file management or something similar …

Plain data without header? I don’t think RawTherapee will handle them.

I tried .raw .rgb .data as file extensions - all of these failed.

I know the width, height and bit-depth so I could create a header.

Can you upload one file to filebin.net and post the link here?

Here is the file : Dropbox - test.gbrg - Simplify your life

The image is 2048x2048 and 16-bit per pixel with 12-bits valid per pixel.

I can assure you that RawTherapee won’t be able to show this file because it’s just sensor data without information how to interpret this data.

I managed to slap a TIFF header on it and RawTherapee now sees the file.

Thanks @ ChasingShadows and @heckfloss for the replies!
