Publication in JOSS (Journal of Open-Source Software).

Hello there. I’m happy to share this news: The G’MIC project has now an article published in JOSS (Journal of Open-Source Software), which is a peer-reviewed international journal:

You probably know it already, as Siril has done the same a few weeks ago

This article has been written by Sébastien Fourey (RIP my friend), Garry Osgood (@grosgood , who wrote most of the super-cool and interesting G’MIC tutorial section ), and myself.
We have submitted a first version of the article in November 2023 (!) so quite a long time ago, but the review process has been quite long (it sometimes happens for journal submissions).

The important thing is that the article has been finally accepted and published! It’s an article that could be used to reference G’MIC in other scientific publications in the future.

Thank you Sébastien, thank you Garry, Thank you Pixls.us for the awesome community.
Tonight, I’m going to drink a little non-alcoholic beer to celebrate! :sparkler:
