When cropping, I almost always disable Lock Ratio so I can choose an arbitrary crop area. Is there a way to set this disabled by default so as not to have to do it for each image?
You can make it part of your base profile. That is, of course, assuming you do have a base profile that is automatically applied. If not, these two links on the RawPedia site might prove helpful:
