question about message on RAW import

Hi all,

perhaps someone may help me here, it’s just some kind of irritating thing, nothing crucial… So I’m using darktable 4.9 current master. For some months now, I’m getting a puzzling message when importing my Nikon NEF files into lighttable. For each imported picture I get one message

EXIF tag not found in

I can’t see any issue with the EXIF tags of the imported RAWs, and as I haven’t changed neither body nor lens nor camera configuration, I simply don’t understand the meaning of this message. I tried to do some logging, but I don’t get anything from the logs that would point to a related issue.

So if there is anyone here with the same message and could explain it to me - I would really appreciate it.

Have a good time  Lars.

Does everything otherwise work correctly with those files?

You should probably report it as a bug on GitHub. Make sure to include at least the -d common log.

Thanks Nis, as far as I can see, everything is otherwise fine with the imported pictures. So I will report it at github.

And what happens with other types of raw files?

I tested with NEF and NRW (both Nikon) and for both types this message occurs. I added this information to the github issue.
