When copying only parts of the history stack to another picture without loosing the actual history you first have to check if the handling of the history stack ist set to “append”. Is there any way to alter the mode of the history stack in darkroom, without temporarily switching switching to lighttable ?
Not that I’m aware of. Do you switch between modes often? If you always use the same mode you should be able to just set it once and forget it.
Well, normally I’m using the overwrite mode, but sometimes I only want to copy one setting to another image while editing (e.g. crop). I just wanted to be sure that there isn’t something I missed.
Do you think there would be any traction to request an add perhaps here instead of OK to have a button for append or overwrite or a checkbox in the dialogue and this would take precedence over the global setting??
