Questions on processing data.

Another question - I have practice data from a gentleman named Wei-Hao Wang. He runs very complicated observing playlist (at least to my simple eyes), but I learn a lot. I have a few questions:

  1. The data covers data at each band at 2 and 12 seconds and 1 and 2 minutes (?). All other parameters being equal, can I combine these sets of data all taken on the same night.
  2. I have immense probles when I include his dark files. The data files are at 12 sec and 1 minutes only. I am currently working with the 12 sec. data and I get this message “.21:46:02: After dark subtraction, the image contains many negative pixels (47%),” calibration frames are probably incorrect". I don’t know how to handle this.
  3. How do you cull (is that the right term) flats, darks, and biases other than visual inspection.
  4. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Hi, for the darks problem you can use dark optimization if you have also some bias files: Calibration — Siril 1.4.2 documentation (look for ‘dark optimization’ below this anchor)

I don’t understand question 3, the answer is probably in the same page. Good luck
