Quick study in texture

A closeup of some wine bottle corks laying around a few minutes ago. Below is my squared-off B&W rendition. Got other ideas?

Here is my take on the image. Nearly monochrome, but just a hint of color using the color zones module to desaturate most colors. Also I used the retouch module to add to the top right corner rather than cropping out the distraction.

Here’s mine, also processed in ART. I loaded your arp file, kept your crop, switched all other modules off and used Local Editing only. My idea was to let the central cork spring out by “high-lighting” it a bit. No masks used.
