When I convert my 16 bit FITS image stack to 32 bit, the photometric color calibration no longer gets the RA/DEC when clicking on “Get Metadata from Image”. When I look in the FITS header, the fields OBJCTRA, OBJCTDEC, RA and DEC are not there anymore, though they are present in the original 16 bit FITS file that I converted from. I can’t say if this issue was in prior versions because I have only recently been trying to work in 32 bit.
I don’t see how it is possible because this is something Siril do all the time.
Could you please share original data?
This is embarrassing but I am now unable to reproduce the problem. However, I did save the two files yesterday showing the problem. For what it’s worth, here is the original file:
r_pp_Markarians Chain_stacked.fits (66.9 MB)
It’s not letting me upload the 32b file, maybe too big? It’s about 137 MB. However, here is a screenshot of the FITS header when the 32b file is open in Siril.
I don’t see any issue with your image. Conversion keeps RA and DEC.
