@TonyBarrett 70, 72 and 77 are quite nice.

I like the textures in the foreground of 70 and the light and colours on the clouds and waves in the background almost makes them move in the still. The cat relaxing on cool or warm steps with legs dangling. And that reflection of that person among the jars.

How did that happen? How is an outside connection even capable of issuing a DHCP request on your local network?

I am am not entirely sure what happen but I have lots of dhcpcd “route socket overflowed” in my journal right before the crash, probably a misconfiguration I’m trying to figure out now.

LOL. Let’s hope no one attaches a diffusion model to CRISPR tech…

I saw today a lawyer was caught using AI to make up false case law for his trial… talk about erosion of the courts… or sheer audacity or stupidity since they at least got caught…

How did the judge react? Most would take a dim view of this (even if not expressed explicitly, in fines etc). Infuriating the judge is usually not a winning strategy.

I’d like to greet you all fine people from the alps. Currently relaxing after Speckknödel Suppe, Kaiserschmarrn and sipping a Zirbenschnaps.

Happened in British courts some time back. Laziness rather than ill intent: just asking AI for precedents and not checking it.

I like the Austrian classics myself, but after a menu like that, I am always more inclined to naps than hiking. Enjoy your holiday!

I’ve been watching PetaPixel a lot lately (mostly to help me decide about my new camera) and I have to say Chris is an amazing presenter, love his reviews :ok_hand:

I’d like to visit Vancouver downtown one day…

:warning: NSFW warning: camera gear being destroyed.

There are two kinds of people.

  1. those who make backups
  2. those who have nothing to recover from

To translate literally a French expression: “you are left with just your eyes to cry”.

There’s actually a third kind:

  1. The backup admin who gets blamed when the user deletes stuff they didn’t store on a share that’s backed up (despite being told many times).

Don’t ask how I know …13 years as enterprise backup admin. :frowning:
