Does anyone remember the days when phone vibrations were so strong it made the phone move around the table on its own?

Yes, before phones got “smart” and required more battery power for computing rather than for powerful motors with larger offset weights on the shaft. When I was on call I would clip my Motorola phone to the overhead plastic sunglasses slot just behind the windshield of my car. I could hear it vibrate even at highway speeds. I never used an actual ringtone until my phone got smart.

I haven’t used ringtones for idk how long, maybe 5 years… The thing is, nowadays I use smartwatch for important notifications. It often helps me notice an incoming call since the watch is vibrating right on my wrist, unlike the phone’s vibration in my pocket

 . I guess the owners of the material-source were much less thrilled about that then me.

Technology connections is wonderful! He’s got a many great videos, e.g. Also the one on the Sunbeam toaster and my favourite on the Olympus Pen, which made me actually buy one.

Is that your own screenshot? I just tried it and I am getting the right result.

That kerning hurts my eyes is a crime against humanity.

Yes it is. Try changing the units. It seems that Google gets confused by the comma instead of the decimal point.

How do you get that unit converter UI? All I get is this:

Might be because I’m on Slovak Google search or something then…
I have the buttons for currency conversion:

But unit converter doesn’t have them…

Through the magic of incognito mode (to “log out”) I accessed the EN version and it works correctly

EDIT:
Nevermind, swapping units breaks it  @Tamas_Papp

Gemini has not had its shot of GW yet.

My not-so-random-thought (I have been considering it for years): Everyone (mostly) pronounces “kilometers” as kih-lom-e-ters. “Kilo” is a prefix meaning 1000 and “meters” is a unit of distance. It should be pronounced ki-lo-me-ters. There is no such thing as a lom.

Lom looks nice though  .

Can one of the more programming-knowledgable here explain this weird bug?

Easy. They dumped AI on everything, and now everything turned to shit.
