Rare pink panther

@Claes posted guessing games here from time too time. I would like to continue this tradition. I was lucky enough to take a photo of the rare pink leopard (Panthera pardus purpureus). However, the animal was quite old, so that only remnants of the fur are still there.

Or not? Who knows better what can be seen here?

I’m stuck and fighting the urge to download it and trying to muck about with it in darktable

I do want to say that it’s a type of plant life though…

At first I want to say some kind of spotted shroom, but now I’m thinking jellyfish.

If somebody finds out what it is, I can upload the original file as a play raw. But it is cropped a bit  and I don’t want to spoil the game.

I think it’s some flower but can’t say anything more precise.

A flower it is. Some die from it, for others it’s medicine

Quite a simple answer. My other thoughts were:

  • scratched up vinyl table cloth or shower curtain
  • some kind of hot, sweet and sour sauce

Lily?

No.

digital flower translated with deepl) … Digitalis purpurea

Ha, this is actually very different to what I expected. I assumed that the fine lines were stalks and the spots the blossoms (though, admittedly, it doesn’t really fit together like that).

I’d say octopus but I don’t get the fibers.

There is recent a play raw apparently showing the same plant in it’s natural habitat.

Do you want to make the thread an official Play Raw or keep it in Lounge?
You could do the former, and like @HIRAM, use the guess_raw tag .

Alan, please move the thread to where you find it appropriate. The guess_raw tag is a great idea .
