Raw Therapee does not recognize EOS R7 Exif files

Everytime i open a R7 file i get the message “no Exif data available”

EOS R7 use CR3 raw format. RawTherapee, up to and including version 5.9, does not support decoding and displaying CR3 exif data. This is discussed here: RawTherapee 5.9 - CR3 Exif support - #16 by KarlMagnusLarsson

@Bluescreen, OK you use Canon EOS R7 and CRAW (lossless compressed). However my answer regarding EOS R7 CR3 raw still applies also to CRAW exif data. RT 5.9 can display and work with CR3 raw file picture data (and your CRAW as well, is seems), but the exif data will not be available. You get “no Exif data available”, as you state.

Thats right, but i primarely use the software for processing Fuji X files and it seems to me, Raw Therapee ist the best software for this.

Hej Albert,

Yes, CR3, CRAW exif will go into future version. If CR3/CRAW exif will be implemented using exiv2 library, then that is a big rewrite of RT code.
