Rawtherapee 5.12 with linux nixos and Lumix s5M2 Rw2 files

Hello everyone,

I have the following problem: I’m running Linux Nixos 25.11 with a standard installation of RawTherapee 5.12 via the configuration.nix file. Everything works normally with my Fuji XT3 camera, but I just switched to a Lumix S5M2. Now, RW2 files are no longer readable.
I’ve tried the Flathub and AppImage versions of RawTherapee 5.12, which do work with RW2 files. I’m going to use one of these two versions, but if anyone has any ideas or solutions, I’d prefer to use the native version of RawTherapee.

Hi and welcome! The NixOS version is using the system version of libraw instead of RawTherapee’s vendored libraw, as far as I can tell.

I can try and change that when I have a moment.
