Hello, this is a message from the Dutch translator of RawTherapee.
I compared the two default language files from RT 5.11 (August 2024) with 5.12 (June 2025). The latter contains new entries or changed labels or changed or new tooltips.
Some are very minor, like Ciecam vs. CIECAM, others reflect changes in the algorithms and hence the description and corresponding tooltips.
In total I identified 366 changes between the two files.
Attached is a spreadsheet.
The first column contains the default language file for RT 5.11.
The second column contains the default language file for RT 5.12.
Empty cells in the first column indicate new entries in column 2.
The third column shows two values: WAAR (=TRUE) and ONWAAR (=FALSE).

WAAR indicates that the two entries are equal.
ONWAAR indicates that the entries have changed or are new.
I invite you to compare all the entries that are marked ONWAAR with your current local language file and change things accordingly.
Thanks, I’ll take a look for my next Chinese translation. I usually use compare tool in Cudatext but didn’t bother with it when translating things for 5.12 (should’ve done so when Jacque proposed a few changes to GHS tooltips), though an excel sheet do look more straight-forward.
