You can get it here. I’ll upload a debug version too.

Great! I’ll upload it to the site when someone else confirms that it works on their system.

First pass everything seems to be ok to me. (Win 7, btw)

Hi Sebastien! Rebooted into Win 10 and tested there, and as already mentioned it installed fine for me too. No crashes or weird behaviour or looks either
Great work!

@sguyader thanks for the work.

Runs fine on Win 10.

Edit: It looks like this is not the latest version. The GTK2 version has some functions more.

Well, this is the latest of the Gtk3 branch, until the master branch is merged.

Oh right, we haven’t merged in a while! Ok then I’ll upload a Gtk3 build after we merge.

Now that the master branch is merged into the gtk3 branch, I uploaded [fresh gtk3 builds] (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_AvPFlUj8t5WEEyUW1qSHpLMVE&usp=drive_web#list).
Please test.

Has RT now official switched to Gtk3 and the Gtk2 version is no longer supported?

Not yet, Gtk+ 2 is still the one used in the main branch, but it will happen soon…

changes gives me a headache
I’m getting an error on win7 64 on “RT 4.2.642 for Windows Vista/7/8/10 64-bit”
I’m running RT through a portableapp launcher

  • RawTherapee.exe 2684 : Glib-GIO-Error**: No GSettings schemas are installed on the system -
RT without PA works fine, so its a PA problem
And I have to find what is wrong, I like RT new look

@Silverray we get this error message if Rawtherapee can’t find the file gschemas.compiled which should reside in <RT install folder>/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled. I should be there if you used my package, but I don’t know how to make it visible from your portableapps launcher.

I just tried lastest GT3 build 4.2.642 and it seems to be very slow startup or loading images.
It took like 1 min to start and images takes about 3-4x longer than the 4.2.582 .

I cleared cache an all, uninstalled an reinstall with same issue.

I’ve tried this build and can’t say I noticed any slower performance, however I do have an issue of the progress bar at the bottom expanding and contracting when a process is underway, thus causing the image itself to jump left and right. I am on a laptop which has a resolution of 1366x768, not sure if that makes a difference at all (i.e. perhaps on a larger screen this issue is non existent). I did not, however, have this issue with my previous, non gtk3 build installation.

@sguyader big thx for the help, this is what i needed to know

the file is in the package
I only use the downloads from rawtherapee.com
RT on PA is no longer updated

killed the WorkingDirectory line and added a path to the RT directory in the launcher ini
RT is up and running , I’m happy again

yeh, its odd I tried 2x going from the new GT3 back to non and same results, the progress bars goes fast to like 90% then is very slow .
I notice for example starting RT GT3 version, it seems spaced/draw out on cpu/IO usage, normally when I load a app I see HD light lit solid till its up an running.

I even thought maybe the debug version got mixed in, but looks like I am running release version . My system is not old, its desktop 3570k/8gigsmem/GTX970 .

So I am back to non GT3 till I can figure this out since no one else has the iusse…

Thanks for your feeback. This issue has already been reported here

Ok, not sure thats same issue , my pic would display fine w/o need for scroll (display size is big enough.

Also note my slow start on RT firing up , takes forever to get to GUI window , so for me its slow displaying a pic and on startup itself .

If another GT3 build comes out with fixes I will try again an report back.
