Recognising sequences from asiair

Hi all, I know there is mention that the reason Siril doesn’t recognise these is that they are not in a regular format, but even if this is the case, it is now a large bunch of users ? I have been using Siril more and more, but short of renaming all my subs everytime I image, I can’t use it to stack because of this. It’d be great if it could either recognise the naming or let the user just select a bunch of files or a directory and take it for granted that everyone was in the sequence ? I’m not even sure what it doesn’t like about them - they all end in a sequence number as yoou’d expect ?

here’s one of mine as an example:

Light_M101_600.0s_Bin1_2600MC_gain100_20230404-224402_-10.0C_0008.fit

Hello, conversion is the dedicated way to handle this. When converting FITS files, Siril just renames them. Please have a look at various documentation bits such as Sequences — Siril 1.2.0 documentation or Conversion — Siril 1.2.0 documentation

What it doesn’t like is that all sequences must be based on a common root and sequential number. Here, you do have the sequential number alright. But because there is date and time in each filename (20230404-224402), there is no common root. Hence why siril does not recognize files in the folder as forming a sequence.
But conversion, as pointed out by vincent, will do the trick
