I want to remove the four items in the yellow rectangular. What is the most elegant way to do this? With elegant I mean, with the least artifacts. It should look like the desk on the background just continues.
Thanks in advance!!

I’d make a better selection and use resynthizer.
Thanks!
Yesterday I also saw this extension, but I’m on GIMP 3 and I see that the extension hasn’t been updated yet. I think I have to downgrade GIMP first.
Which OS - there is a resynthesizer / heal plugins for Windows / Gimp 3 and maybe 'buntu linux (that is what I use)
Otherwise again Windows (and some linux) there is the gimp_gmic_qt plugin and the inpaint filiters.
The OS that I use is Fedora Silverblue 42.
I downgraded GIMP with the application Warehouse to version 2.10.38 and installed resynthizer by the command presented on their Github page. Haven’t tested yet, but that’s what I’m going to do this afternoon.
Ouch, Fedora.
Easier with resynthesizer /heal selection than gmic inpaint.
Work from edges inover to preserve the bg pattern

I did exactly the same as in the video and the papers are now gone!
Thanking very much for helping me !
Fedora is not that bad as you might think. In de past (more than five years ago) it was indeed a distribution for administrators, but Fedora has advanced very much and is now on par with Ubuntu in terms of usability (or even slightly better).
