I have a number of images that have never been tagged. I finally decided to go through all of my collections and try to attach tags to all images. I used the ‘not-tagged’ section of the tagging menu to find the culprits.
In general all went well but I came across one folder that contained ‘problem images’. There was, fortunately, nothing important in it but the entire folder was untagged.
After the first images were tagged I started to get crashes of dt and with only 7 images left untagged on the roll dt stopped working (simply closed) whenever this folder was opened.
There is nothing of importance on the folder and one solution id to simply delete the folder externally and then rebuild the db in total.
Are there any other ideas?
Manjaro/dt-git/no-opencl/XFCE.
Just remove those images from the database.
How do I directly remove them from the db?
Maybe one simple way to remove those images from the DB is to outside of DT rename the folder. Then when you open up DT there should be an empty folder that could be removed from within the Lighttable. I haven’t tested this yet so apologies if it doesn’t work, but it sounds logical. I might test it now.
Yes this worked. A slight change to the folder name outside of DT. Then when I went to that folder in DT I was able to right click a delete the folder from DT without removing the images from the disk. Good luck.
