Hi, the mighty @Ofnuts created a script for GIMP 2 that would decompose in image into R,G,B layers.

@Ofnuts : any chance you can port it / recreate it for GIMP3?
(I tried to do it with ChatGPT but failed every time…)

Hi. The script author is reponsible for maintaing its script, not GIMP team. Ofnuts is quite active so it will probably be ported.

Anyway, that is free contributors work so we can’t guarantee anything, even from our side.

I have been somewhat busy lately and my spare time has been devoted to writing bug reports :grin:

Is there a reason that you need a script/plugin rather that the GIMP’s UI menu items?

Scripts are helpful for batch processing of images.
