Hi,
I have seen that scripts and tutorials for the Zwo Seestar telescope are available in Siril, since the version 1.2.2.
Would be possible to have the same scripts and tutos for the Vaonis Vespera telescopes, please?
And/or tips to image processing with this telescope?
It would be very great
Thanks!
Jean-Marc (France)
Hello and welcome Jean-Marc.
The SeeStar script is simply a script that works with already calibrated images. If the Vaonis scopes also provide calibrated FITS images it will work for them too. But last time I checked, it was not simple to get uncompressed images from this scope, has it changed?
Hello Vincent,
and thanks for your welcoming
My Vespera telescope, the model Vespera Pro, can export TIFF raw 16 bits images, dedicated to further image processing.
Do you know the Seestar scripts will work correctly with these types of files?
Thanks!
Notes:
This page talk about RAW images from vespera scopes: Astrophotographie avec les smart télescopes Vaonis. - Vaonis
And this page talk about image processing from raw files coming from Vespera with the Affinity Photo software, but I would like to try Siril
Hello
Are these already demosaiced TIFFs? If so, the remaining process is very simple. Conversion Registration and stacking.
It takes longer to script than to click these 3 buttons manually :).
Hello!
I don’t know if these files are already demosaiced TIFFs… I’ll ask to the Vaonis support.
Thanks.
Very easy to know. Are the FITS in color? Or gray with a visible Bayer Pattern.
If I open a tiff file with Astro-Art (demo) sofware, the image shown seems to be in color, like this:
Could you send one TIFF? Looks like it is also stretched. Which is bad news.
I can’t send files with the tiff extension
You can use WeTransfer for example
Here is a link with 2 TIFF files.
Tiff_files
OK good. They are linear.
So yes, in Siril you just
- Convert
- Align
- Stack
That’s all.
Thank you for that.
That’s the pre-processing for the image.
In the examples I sent you, what processing steps do you recommands me to follow?
Exactly what I said.
- Convert to get FITS image
- Register, to align images.
- Stacking
Yes, sorry, that’s not what I wanted to ask!
All these steps are pre-processing, right?
But what kind of post processing do you recommend me to bring out the details in the image?
Thanks!
