Hey

I wanted to say a few words about what is happening with Resynthesizer as I’m sure some of you may be interested.

  1. The original author is Paul Harrison, “pfh”. He has not maintained the code since version 0.16, which appears to have been released in 2008.
  2. A few people contributed, but finally development was picked up by Lloyd Konneker, “bootchk”, in 2010. He continues to maintain the project to this day.
  3. The original website, Resynthesizer , is unmaintained. It simply points to bootchk’s GitHub page GitHub - bootchk/resynthesizer: Suite of gimp plugins for texture synthesis - i.e. Paul acknowledges that Lloyd took over.
  4. Lloyd released version 2.0.1 just now.

I just saw the mention. Did he happen to update things to work in high bit depth?

This is one of my favorite and most used plugins! I’m over due for my free software donations this year, is he accepting donations somewhere?
