The resynthesizer plugin should be made a standard tool in all Gimp platforms
In earlier versions of Gimp (both PC & MAC) my scanners were always recognized as input under “Create” but lately scanners are never seen.
In FOSS things happen if something is high on a personal priority list off someone who might spend time to implement or port that stuff, spend more time to package it so it can be used by further people having a variety of os versions and architectures (there’s not just one mac configuration around) and even a lot of more time to maintain it since unfortunately macOS updates often break stuff
