Today I had to remove some sensor dust. I noticed when in the retouche module (dt4.8.1) the already placed shapes disappear from the view when you select a new shape to be placed, making it difficult to see if a spot already has been cloned out. Is thre a way to keep them in the display?
I don’t think there is a way to do this while adding a new shape, but you could set up a keyboard shortcut to show/hide the shapes and another to add a new shape (or one per shape) so you can easily toggle between them. In the following screenshot you can see options for adding shapes at the bottom, and “show and edit shapes on the current scale” will show/hide the existing shapes:
From the manual under "retouch tools->shapes:
" Click the show and edit shapes button to show and edit any existing shapes for the currently-selected wavelet scale."
Thanks
Not addressing your original question but when I have multiple shapes I may use multiple instances of the retouch module to avoid any issue with sampling from a repaired spot in case this cause problems in the next repair. Sensor spots are easy using the healing option, but sometimes I am removing more challenging objects and may use one instance of clone to get rid of the shape, then create a new instance of the retouch module and use the healing option to get a smoother transition.
