If you turn off openCL, does the crash persist?

I’d also get rid of your CPU’s integrated GPU, as it only provides 512MB memory. You seem to have a beefy standalone GPU, so just use that.

Hi @paperdigits,
thanks for the reply. I disabled opencl and the same crash occurs
So the problem is not on the opencl side?

Oh, you’re using Wayland? Can you reproduce the crash under Xorg?

good idea, but it 's the same result with and without opencl.
I could provide some debug logs with “darktable -d all” or something like this?

here is the debug output with “-d all”, unfortunately I’m not able to make any sens of it  darktable_debug_all.txt (537.9 KB)

It is not an OpenCL problem.

Can you do a gdb ?

Hm no, i don’t know how? Can you provide me some commands or instructions what i have to do?

ok, i figured it out (i think). Here is the part of the output that i think is the interesting part:
(and the full output dartable_gdb_output.txt (23.4 KB) )

I’m on the cell. I think you should start an issue in GitHub. You have a lot of good info here that should be in the Issue.

Post the xmp too.

Can you post your xmp? The raw is here but it might help reproducing with the xmp. I tried on my system abd was not able to reproduce.

I added on in the original post. When i have an edit with this curve config it crashes my darktable on start while creating the preview for lighttable.

Screencast of the issue.
First i import images from play raw posts.
Then i show that other curves are working and finally i use the rgb curve and on the second control point darktable crashes.

(Usually i can move the second control point about 100ms before darktable freezes and crashes. I did not try to do that in the video)

Can you reproduce the crash under Xorg?

Yes I testen it also in xorg with the same result.
I feel like Wayland, xorg, the slected image, opencl are all not involved in this bug?

The only consistent thing is that it crashes with an segmentation fault

I found a possible solution to this error
