Roto Masking Help

Hi

I’m trying to mask a PNG (with a transform, moving left to right) with Roto but the Bezier/Ellipse/Rectangles do not seem to be actually masking the image (see attached). I’m sure this is a simple fix that I’m not seeing, but any help would be much appreciated.

I think the project format is not set correctly.
Do not use the mask input
The following simple example e.g. for masking (there are many other ways):
