Inkscape is not charged as their type of open source is compatible but another app is because their is a conflict. I think GPL MIT are ok.
I would hope that someone who knows about RT in particular and generally the Pixls.US bunch, at least contacts MS to if there is a fit and whether it would help in distribution. Supposedly, MS went to Inkscape to come on board.
You have plenty of work with nightly builds. May be this could be for the released versions. We need to imagine what will help and go after it.
