Running on a NAS under Docker

Greetings,

I came across this and thought it was interesting How to Install digiKam on Your Synology NAS

Has anyone tried this? What is the performance like?

I’ve currently got my images stored on the NAS and digiKam stores the database locally on an SSD. It’s perfectly fine usability wise.

The only other app I have running on my Synology NAS is Plex.

It wouldn’t hurt my head to be able to access digiKam from other devices on my net.

The browser based interface didn’t do it for me. Performance on a Synolog DS220+ was also sub par.

Can’t say that I’m hugely surprised.

I’ve got a DS 918+, but I don’t think it would be substantially better.
