SCaLE 22x: darktable workshop

Hey all,

I’ll be doing a workshop on darktable at the Southern California Linux Expo, Sunday, March 9, 2025 - 13:30 to 15:00.

Why yes, that is the last talk of the day, but at least it is on a weekend this time!

I hope to see some of you there! Let me know if you have any questions.

It’d also be dope to do a photo walk on Saturday or another day of the conference.

In the past workshops have not been recorded.

Too bad… I hope you’ll give us a mini report

The last workshop I did, I gave a brief overview of the software, then basically just started taking questions from the audience. I like that a lot better than trying to give a demo; the demos are better suited to YouTube videos, and getting to interact and talk to users in person is not something I get a chance to do often. I’d think a recording will come off very random

I have a had thoughts of doing something online like this, but haven’t found the time.

Do you remember the questions/topics from the last workshop(s)? What is on people’s minds? I’m just curious …

Pretty much the same things that trip everyone up: masking, scene ref’d workflow, what modules to use.
