scene revisited

The same scene, once more, this time at sunset.

Due to its high dynamic range, I had to duplicate the exposure module, one for the shadows, one for the highlights.

The rest was basically Aurelien’s filmic style (for v3, but changing it to v4 brought the same results, and I could improve the blown highlights small area)

This rendering reflect pretty much the feeling I have when I look at this scene.

EDIT: The brownish blob is smoke from a big fire somewhere.
EDIT1: I wanted to preserve the haze, which in my opinion helps flooding the scene with sunlight.

Hello Rei!
Nice one! Here’s an experiment with filmic v4 (I have to learn!), plus a little of standard this and that.

Have fun!

Love how the hills are weaving and the clouds are separating.

I love the B&W one.

I still haven’t honed my instincts for spotting a good monochrome scene.

My play around using ART. Lovely shot, thanks for sharing. Trickier than I thought…

 . I thought more of green & white.

Very nice image!

My take using Photoflow:

DSC_5534.jpg.pfi (60.7 KB)

I have used a separate WB layer to make the foreground buildings warmer, and a combination of relight, tone mapping local contrast and curves to selectively adjust the brightness and contrast of the different parts of the image, while avoiding nasty halos…
