I’ve been reading about light-meters and stuff, particularly this week the conversion of foot candles (fc) or lux to EV.
When I turn the dial on my L-398M to 80 fc, the EV at 100 ISO shows 7-2/3 EV.
But the Manual illustration for the L-398A shows about 8-1/6 EV.
Quite a significant difference.
Am I missing something?
The plot thickens.My L-398M came without a Manual so I visited Butkus’s excellent archive:

… [edit] Yep, that was it - the ISO setting seems to move in steps and mine was sitting just below 100. I moved to just over 100 and the EV now matches the image immediately above well enough![/edit]
