Severe colour cast problem in RAW images

I recently upgraded from a Nikon D3300 to a D7200. I always processed the NEF images from the D3300 using RawTherapee and had no problems. However, since switching to the D7200, I find that almost every image I open in RawTherapee has a severe purple or pink cast which is extremely difficult to compensate for.

The fact that this didn’t happen with the D3300 suggests that the issue is with the camera set-up, rather than RT, but so far I haven’t been able to figure out a solution.

If anyone else has encountered this problem and found a solution, I’d be grateful for some ideas on what to do.

Hello, to start with it would be helpful to tell which version of RT you are using. Second: providing a NEF is always useful to try to solve the problem.

This tends to happen with cameras newer than what your particular version of RT supports.

Update to the latest and it should work.

This should be in an FAQ somewhere… I’ve answered this three or four separate times on reddit…

Thanks for the replies. The version I had was 4.2, running in Linux Mint 17.

I checked for a newer version, but the only stable download available was also 4.2, so I decided to try the latest unstable version. I got this from the repositories and it installed OK. However, when I checked the version number, it too appears to be 4.2. The good news is that, for whatever reason, the colour cast problem has gone and everything seems to be working properly once more.
