Yep its the preview and typos that help me and honestly I could never remember all the combinations of syntax that you could achieve with this…
I use the format
Year / Month / ISO 8601 Timestamp-OriginalSerialnumerb.[RAF | jpg |…]
The timestamp is the timestamp when the picture was taken.
eg.
2020/08/20200813T153121-DSCF0975.RAF
PS.: The software I use to organize images is macOS Finder.
We should include this screenshot in Rawpedia. If you can master this gui, you can master RT gui as well
Can I ask what kind of database you use for that?
If it is just tracking the folder structure and those parameters you could use a pivot table in excel …if it is interacting with the metadata then that is something more advanced…
Can I ask what kind of database you use for that?
An unpublished relational database system called, unimaginatively, “RelDat”. I wrote it decades ago, before such systems were available for home computers.
Personally, I don’t use create metadata that I put into XMP files etc. If I was more organised, I might extract metadata from the database and insert that into JPG files. But I’m not that organised.
@heckflosse At least it retains the classic theme. Imagine this in any other Windows theme.
While I like CSS customization in RT and dt, to put it mildly, people can go overboard with it.
