Show us your bloopers

We all have them, we don’t want them, what do we do with them?*

This photo from our trip to Rome in 2010 is a source of great mirth in my family. I was innocently taking a pano series with my point and shoot and accidentally included this lady who wasn’t to pleased to be part of the scene. Since then my family regularly ribs me about the trip and my “Italian girl friend”.

Have any that you want to share?

*apologies to Jimmy Buffet for mangling his lyric.

Looks like she was posing… for another camera? If it is a series, do you have enough to blend without her?

She was just there and I didn’t know she was there until I snapped the shot. I have a version with her cut out, but that one is just another “meh” tourist snapshot

Blooper? That woman makes the photo

Found it! Took a few moments…but after I didn’t immediately see a head or a butt sticking out of a hole, I guessed what I should be looking for.

True, but how many of them are an improvement over the original idea?

Saw this on the way to work and pulled over, but did not take enough time to ensure I was shooting steady… Three blurred frames and these are the two best of them.
I’m going to try to"fix"them in darktable, but I think I’ll have to try my luck at it again.

@AdamFromCanada your instincts were good, the beam of light is wonderful. You can probably hide most of the blurryness by darkening everything but the beam of light into deep shadow.

Biggest blooper of yore is the one where there is nothing to show because I accidentally fully exposed the film.

Never mind, that is not quite a blooper by definition. :person_shrugging:

@AdamFromCanada I agree that the photo is quite nice besides the blur.

Definitely try again!

Great atmosphere though!
