We are happy to announce the release of Siril 1.2.6. Although Siril 1.2.5 was supposed to be the last update in the 1.2 series, a critical bug in the Windows version required us to release a new patch. This bug was introduced after a recent update of cfitsio which caused issues with widechar filenames that were not UTF-8 encoded.
This update mainly addresses this problem, ensuring that Siril works seamlessly with non-UTF-8 filenames on Windows. We appreciate your patience and feedback in helping us resolve this issue.
Hi, I’ve been away from Astro for a few months, and so downloaded the latest 1.2.6 version to get up to date. My first osc preprocessing keeps failing, can someone help me please? i attach the log file for reference 225450 Welcome to siril v1.2.6.txt (181.3 KB)

Check this image light_00231.fit exists and if it doesn’t you’ll need to remove the process directory and retry.
Thank you, I did have a problem with some of the files. I had tried to Stack in DSS initially, realized i left some ‘BAD’ files in there and hadn’t cleaned out the directory to try with Siril.
I’ve managed to stack the image, working on PP now.
Thank you for taking the time to help, I needed someone to point me in the right direction to realize just how much i had forgotten!
cheers and clear skies
