Siril 1.4.3 freezes at start on Ubuntu 24.04.3

Hi,

This morning, I can’t make Siril 1.4.3 start on Ubuntu 24.04.3.
When I launch the app, the GUI opens up but is frozen from start.
After a few seconds, a window appears asking to wait or to quit the app.

I already removed and reinstalled Siril from the local repository but it hasn’t fix the problem.
The logs are attached.

Your support will be appreciated!

Well… additional info.
It just worked after having waited a few seconds more.
This behaviour is strange, anyway.

It’s me again, sorry for spamming.

Siril froze twice since my last message.
I’ll keep using it and add a comprehensive feedback at the end.
But its behaviour seems strange today.

Hello, hard to know what is the problem, you may try disabling the updates on startup: in the preferences, in misc, “check updates at startup”, in scripts “automatic updates”, in photometry “sync at startup”.

Also, how did you install Siril? Prefer the PPA Siril : lock042

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Everything is back to normal since Saturday, and I don’t know why - except that I restarted my laptop a couple of times.

I did install Siril through the local ppa, anyway.
