Introduction #
We are pleased to announce the release of Siril 1.4.4!
This maintenance release builds on the 1.4.x series with a series of targeted bug fixes covering sequence handling, file reading, disk space detection and script discovery. It also brings a small improvement to the script repository search.
What’s new in Siril 1.4.4 #
Bug fixes #
- Fixed sequence file corruption (#1204, #1934): an issue that could corrupt
.seqfiles has been resolved - Fixed crash when loading a sequence with an out-of-range reference image (#1950): loading a sequence whose reference image index was no longer valid (for example after preprocessing) no longer crashes Siril
- Fixed wrong “not enough disk space” error on macOS: external APFS/HFS volumes are now reported correctly and no longer trigger a spurious disk space error
- Fixed script folder names on Windows: scripts placed in custom subfolders now show up under their folder name instead of being grouped under “Other”
- Fixed regression when reading 16-bit fitseq (#1946): a regression affecting the reading of 16-bit
.fitseqfiles has been corrected
Improvements #
- Improved script repository search: the search now also matches the category column, making it easier to find scripts by their category
Translations #
Thanks to the work of a dedicated contributor, the Japanese translation of the application has improved significantly. This is a great opportunity to remind everyone that anyone can help translate Siril, and no programming knowledge is required.
