Siril image annotations (documentation for version 1.2)

View of full annotated image Annotations are glyphs displayed on top of images to depict the presence of known sky objects, like galaxies, bright stars and so on. They come from catalogues but can only be displayed on images for which we know which part of the sky they represent, images that have been plate solved and contain the world coordinate system (WCS) information in their header, so only FITS or Astro-TIFF files.
This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://siril.org/docs/doc/annotations/

I’m new user so bear with me… I took a photo of Draco Dwarf Galaxy and when I use the annotation option it shows up as “NAME Dra dSph”. Is there anyway to replace de NAME by something else?

You can use the new python annotation script dedicated to the galaxies.
