Hello; I enjoy the livestacking in Siril. I can see my object start to develop within a few images and the stacked image looks very good. My problem is that the livestacking always suddenly stops after awhile. Usually somewhere around 30 images, sometimes even earlier than that. This happens every time I try to use it. The stacking just stops and the red “waiting” message just keeps blinking. Meanwhile my subs continue to be saved in NINA so I know that more images are being taken and saved. I have to close SIRIL and start from scratch if I want to livestack again, but I have stopped using the program for livestacking unless I can find a solution.
I have a Windows 11pro mini-pc. My Siril version is 1.2.1. I searched but could not find the logs. They are not in the documents folder on my PC. The working folder and my subs are stored on a separate 232G hard drive that is about 2/3 full. Thanks for your help.
Hello and welcome,
the main logs are in the console tab of siril, is something written in there indicating why it could have stopped? We rarely use this feature, it was more a proof of concept than a real feature and it’s not developed anymore, still it shouldn’t do that.
On windows, don’t you also have the terminal opening with siril, the black window with text?
And to get more logs, this is here: How to report issues — Siril 1.2.4 documentation
Hello Vincent and lock042; Thanks for your help. Now that I know where to find the logs, I will try running Livestack again the next time I image and carefully keep track of what SIRIL is doing. I’ll also keep the black window open. Hopefully I will figure it out and I will post again when I find something. Clear Skies; Miles
