Siril not correctly determining .dng color type

I am trying to process some images taken with an Insta360 AcePro 2 “action” camera. The files are .dng extension, 4608x8192. They open as color in Windows 10 using Photo Editor and IrfanView v4.54 64bit but Siril says they are B&W. This was in the log…

Hello,
Siril does not debayer images unless you tell it to do so. You should normally calibrate your images with darks, flats and biases before doing so. That’s the regular process in astrophotography.
If you don’t have calibration files, you can still debayer the whole sequence in the Calibration tab
