Siril photometric colour calibration not working

Imgur

1028 stars detected but it says that six are still needed? What is going on. I have set the focus length and pixel size, and have tried setting the ra and d to what astrometry.net says, but still no luck.

Thanks

This is normal because you have an active selection. The search is done within the selection.
You need to unselect everything before to apply PCC.

Hello, I have also tried without a selection and get the same issue.

Sometimes I get this error:

plate solving failed. the image could not be aligned with the reference stars.

Thanks

You can use local astrometry.net too if you prefer.
Are you sure about your focal and pixelsize?

Could you send your picture with needed information.

I’m not at my pc atm but the images were shot with a Canon 750D, 18mm lens. I merged them and the darks in Sequiter.

All right, then. So you won’t be able to resolve 18 mm images with the Siril solver. This is too wide and there are distorsion.
Use the local astrometry.net option.

(or any external plate solving tool if you prefer)

Is there a tutorial on how to do that? Thanks

You should have a look to our documentation.
