Skeleton Leaf in my backyard

This is my first post here so here I go.

I took this a few years back and I have never been quite satisfied with my processing of it mostly because I really don’t understand digital processing very well. I really want the leaf to stand out. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

First I made it seamless:

Then did my modified CL treatment to that result.

B/W works well as well:

Crop to emphasis the textures.

Slight vignette, oversaturate for some color, and slight sharpening. Also darkened that green bit in the bottom-left corner.

Thanks @lylejk , I would never have thought to do this!

@Popanz , both of your treatments are better than mine. I look closely at what you’ve done

@Terry , cool crop! I wold never have done that but I really like it!
@gwbarn, I will be studying your history closely as you got pretty close to what I was after.
@Zbyma72age - just beautiful!
@Anthony_Reimche - I’ve never done a lot of vignetting but I’ll surely start now!

Thankyou, I think colour calibration is the first key as it pushes the main leaf’s colour far enough away from that prominent one on the right. Then there’s the masked DorS for sharpness. The scene lighting was such that AgX took care of the global contrast quite well, I didn’t try to add more localised changes.

Wacky I might be; still maybe the seamless texture could be of some use to someone. I squared it up and then Tile-able Rotated it for a possibly more appealing texture.

thanks @lylejk, this might make a good desktop wallpaper. You are creative for sure.

Nah; just know my filters (well; I didn’t create them; just accumulated them; lol).

Anyway, had to do something with the new texture; it’s what I do.

I’m a bit torn. Now it looks really nice but shouldn’t it look as well a bit morbid.

@Popanz, yeah I get that. It was an overcast sort of gloomy day as I recall and that part of my backyard is generally in deep shade normally. I think the more somber interpretations are probably more correct but I do like the warmer look as well.

I focused mainly on that, maybe a little on the warm side, but i like it
