Slow White Balance Slider

When dragging the White Balance slider, in every step RT tries to apply the whole Capture sharpening/demosaicing/etc process, which makes it one of the slowest (essential) slider,

Could the image be cached while the mouse button is pressed down?
On button release it could do the final processing.
